West Virginia Concealed Handgun License (CHL) Course

This West Virginia Concealed Handgun License (CHL) class is a comprehensive training course designed to educate individuals on the laws and regulations surrounding the carrying of concealed firearms. The class covers essential topics such as the use of force, firearms safety, and the proper handling and storage of firearms, as well as the specific laws and requirements for obtaining permits in WV and VA.

Our classes are taught by industry-leading instructors who will provide students with the knowledge and skills they need to carry a concealed firearm safely. This course includes a required range portion where you will be required to show competency with a firearm unassisted. Your instructor will provide detailed information about the live fire portion of this course upon registration.

• How to avoid conflict and awareness of your surroundings
• The psychology of violent encounters
• Legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath)

STATE REQUIREMENTS TO OBTAIN PERMIT

• Non-Residents | $100
• Provisional (18-20 years old) | $40
• Veterans (with honorable discharge) | fee waived
• State Police fee | $25 for standard licenses, $15 for provisional licenses
• Sheriff's Office Fee | $25 for standard licenses, $25 for provisional licenses
• Duplicate License Fee | $5
• Change of Address Fee | $5
• Lost/Destroyed License Fee | $5

**In order to satisfy the handgun safety and training course requirement, proof of actual live firing of ammunition by the applicant is required.**
