Wisconsin Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) Course

Classroom or Description

Make Protection Your Priority

This Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP) class is a comprehensive training course designed to educate individuals on the laws and regulations surrounding the carrying of concealed firearms. The class covers essential topics such as the use of force, firearms safety, and the proper handling and storage of firearms, as well as the specific laws and requirements for obtaining a permit in Wisconsin.

Our classes are taught by industry-leading instructors who will provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to carry a concealed firearm safely.

What we'll cover:

  • Test your knowledge on the Wisconsin concealed carry laws
  • What the carry laws provide
  • Training required
  • Applying for a permit
  • Process for approval
  • Denials (and how to handle them)
  • Requirements for displaying your permit
  • Where carrying is banned or otherwise restricted
  • Related statutes and federal law
  • LIVE Q&A with USCCA Certified Instructors

Why having a permit matters:

  • The carry law authorizes permit holders to possess a loaded handgun in public places (other than those places prohibited by law), carried concealed or carried openly.
  • Permit holders are allowed to carry other objects that would otherwise be illegal, including Tasers, as defined in Wisconsin Statute 941.295(1c), or “billy clubs.”

In addition to the legal knowledge you gain in this class, there are many benefits to getting your permit and carrying a concealed firearm including:

  • Increased Personal Safety: Carrying a concealed firearm allows you to protect yourself and your loved ones in potentially dangerous situations.
  • Peace of Mind: Knowing that you can defend yourself and others will provide a sense of security and peace of mind.
  • Legal Protection: In the event of a self-defense situation, having a permit can provide legal protection by demonstrating that the use of force was justified.
  • Concealed Carry Reciprocity: Wisconsin and Arizona have Concealed Carry Reciprocity agreements with many states, which means that permit holders can carry in those states with the same legal protection.

One very important point to note is that Wisconsin residents must have a Wisconsin permit to carry legally in Wisconsin. Out-of-state concealed carry permits issued to Wisconsin residents are not valid in Wisconsin.

Be sure to bring any snacks or drinks for the class as well as a pen and paper to take notes.
