Kentucky Concealed Deadly Weapons (CCDW) License Course

Classroom or Description

Make Protection Your Priority

This course will inform you about the important laws around the possession and usage of firearms in a self-defense situation as well as many other considerations.

This USCCA Concealed Deadly Weapons (CCDW) License Course is a comprehensive program for individuals considering firearm ownership for self-defense.

This course covers essential topics, including:

  • Conflict Avoidance and Situational Awareness
  • Shooting Fundamentals
  • Physiology of Violent Encounters
  • Legal Aspects of Using Deadly Force
  • Post-Incident Procedures and Aftermath
  • Essential Gear and Ongoing Training

There is no longer a requirement for a permit to carry a concealed deadly weapon in Kentucky, as the state adopted constitutional (permitless) carry in 2019. However, there are still many important reasons why you should consider obtaining a Kentucky Concealed Deadly Weapons License (CDWL):

  • Allows Kentuckians to legally carry in states that recognize Kentucky’s permit through reciprocity agreements.
  • May prevent potential delays when purchasing firearms from a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) by expediting the background check process.
  • Helps individuals clearly confirm their eligibility to carry or possess firearms.

Join us to learn directly from USCCA-Certified Instructors on the importance, responsibility, and privilege that we as Americans have as gun owners.

The state of Kentucky requires students to complete a live fire exercise to obtain your permit. Your instructor will provide detailed information about the live fire portion of this course upon registration.

Be sure to bring any snacks or drinks for the class as well as a pen and paper to take notes.
